Entry #35 - Home Sweet Huh?

"I just love our new apartment!" (She) was overjoyed and so was (He).

"There's just one thing I've been meaning to tell you…" (She) said.

"I don't like the sound of that," (He) replied.

"Well? What is it?" All of sudden, (He) felt cold and clammy.

"I don't think my parents will like you," (She) said, rather bluntly.

"Huh." (He) said. "Well, I don't think MY parents will like you either!"

Entry #34 - Two Toothbrushes and a Chocolate Factory

"We're here!" (She) said.

"Yes," (He) said.  "Yes, we are. The question is, why?"

"What do you mean?" (She) asked.
"Two toothbrushes at a chocolate factory? That doesn't strike you as odd?" (He) replied.
"Meh," (She) shrugged.

Entry #33 - Apartments…The Hunt Is On.

"What do you mean it's too frilly? This container is so cozy and pretty! Oh, and the wallpaper is to die for!"

"I will die if I have to look at it every day," (He) said.

"Well, I like it," (He) said.

"Yes, sickly yellow-orange does compliment your blue," (She) said. "It doesn't mean I like it."

"Why not?"

"I'm not answering that."

Entry #32 - Cathedral Ledge, North Conway, NH

"I'm so sick of traveling," (She) said.

"We're almost there," (He) replied. "The view is amazing."

It better be. I'm unbelievably uncomfortable right now...

"You were right," (She) said.

"I was?"

"It is a wonderful view," (She) said and then (She) sighed. "Summer's almost over and than it's back to my lonely girl apartment..."

"Maybe we should look for an apartment together," (He) said.

"If you're kidding, I will totally push you off that ledge..."

"I'm not," (He) said. "And please don't."

Entry #31 - More Adventure Dating: Burke Bike & Brew Fest

"That does not look safe," (She) said.

"No. No, it does not," (He) said with hint of glee.

"I can't watch!" (She) squealed.

(He) was in awe.

"It's probably best you don't watch," (He) said.

"Why?"

"The landing is littered with parts,"

"What do you mean, 'parts?!'"

"Bike parts, helmet parts, people parts," (He) replied. "You know, 'parts.'"

(She) peaked and said
"Liar."

A big toothbrush nod to the brave Burke Mountain, Vermont Jumpers…
I was in awe…

Entry # 30 - MVTs Part 2: Island Time

"The Chilmark Lighthouse," (She) sighed. "It's so stunning…"

"I think there's naked people down there," (He) said. "No, really. Look! I swear."

"Classy," (She) muttered.

"That house is adorable!" (She) gushed.

"Maybe we'll have a house like that someday," (He) said.

"Really?"

"Sure. Why not?"

Huh, (She) thought. How about that.

They observed the gate in silence.

"And will our garden look just like this?" (She) asked. "And can we have a pool and a hot tub? Oh, and a skylight? I've always wanted a skylight. And radiant heat in the bathroom--it's a must."

(He) swallowed and stared at the flowers.

On the ferry ride home…

"That boat is so cool," (She) said.

"It's not a boat, it's a ship," (He) replied.

"You're totally freaking out about living together, aren't you?"

"Yes. Yes, I am."

"You want a do-over?"

(He) paused.

"No. No, I don't."

(She) smiled and watched the ship sail by.

Entry # 29 - MVTs Part 1: The Ferry Ride

"I'm so excited," (She) squealed. "I've never been to Martha's Vineyard before!"

"I think I should warn you," (She) said.

"Warn me about what?"

"I don't do well on boats. I'm a little nervous."

"Oh." (He) swallowed. "Uh, how are you feeling now?"

"Good!"

"Hey, um, was that a dorsal fin?" (He) asked.

"No." (She) gagged. "That was my breakfast."

"Thank god it's over! I'm not going back on that ferry ever again," (She) breathed.

"Yeah. Uh, we're going to need a bigger boat..."
